Is my information safe?

We understand that completing an online transaction requires a great deal of trust. We take this trust very seriously, and make it our highest priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the information you provide. Find My Rice uses industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect every interaction you have with us. This protects your contact and other personal information. It is important to remember that any information that is entered through the company Profile tab will be published on your company profile page. In addition to this the product list you upload onto Find My Rice will also be seen by anyone who opens it. We do not encourage the publishing of pricing information on your profile or product list. Protecting your account

Here are some tips to prevent others from gaining access to your personal information: Use a unique password that’s difficult to guess; a random combination of letters and numbers is best. Change your Find My Rice password at least every 3 months. Never give any personal information such as your Find My Rice account details (user ID and password) or bank account numbers by email or to non-Find My Rice websites. If you receive a suspicious email pretending to be from Find My Rice, don’t click any links or reply with any personal information. Learn how to tell if an email is really from Find My Rice. Keep your computer’s anti-virus, anti-spam and other security software up to date. If you think you've been the victim of identity theft, report it to the police.

Someone has used you account

If you think someone is trying to take over your account – or already has, here’s what you need to do: Check with anyone who might use your account to make sure they haven’t made any changes. Try to sign in to your account. If you can sign in,change your password right away and follow these instructions for securing your account. If you can’t sign in, contact Find My Rice and we’ll be happy help you sort things out. If your account has been tampered with, we’ll work with you to secure it. We’ll ask you to change your password and may even put your account on hold for a while until it’s secure again.

Reporting fake (spoof) or spam emails

If you’re suspicious about an email that claims to be from Find My Rice, sign in to My Find My Rice and click the Messages tab. If you don’t see the same message there, the email is fake. To report a fake email, forward it to Fake (spoof) emails aren't allowed on Find My Rice. People who send these emails hope you’ll reply or click on a link in the email and provide personal information like passwords, Social Security numbers, or credit card numbers. Never click the links in a fake email or reply to it. If you think you might have given out personal information,find out what you should do right now to protect yourself. Reporting a listing

Occasionally, you might find an item that isn't allowed on Find My Rice or a listing that doesn't follow our listing rules. We’re happy to answer questions about our rules and policies. However, if you just want to report an item to us, you can do that by clicking the Report a problem button. We’ll send you an email to confirm that we received your report.
